The Kombat FFA 2 event is a standalone event with a €1500 prize pool to start the new year 2022! This is the second FFA Kombat event, where the initial idea is to take several new maps and make a showcase of it on a good stream. This time we got some more familiar maps, along with some classics as well. Here is the Kombat discord server

Format

  • Qualifiers - Thursday 6/1: + Friday 7/1: Time TBD
    • 8 players in each qualifier group
    • ~ 4-6 qualification groups, to be decided, depends on sign-ups
    • Top players in each group advances to Grand Final
    • 6 maps: aerowalk - rocka - hex - dm4 - e3m3tdmb - locomoto
    • Timelimit: 11 - 3 minute smoke/wc/drink break after 3 maps
  • Grand Finals - Sunday 9/1: - 21:00 CEST

Point system

Players final position on each map are added to calculate total points as per below:

  1. 5 points
  2. 4 points
  3. 3 points
  4. 2 points
  5. 2 points
  6. 1 point
  7. 1 point
  8. 1 point (only in grand final)
  9. 1 point (only in grand final)


If players are tied on a map, those players will receive the same amount of points from that map.

Tiebreakers

If the players are tied in the table on points, the tiebreaker will be:

  1. The highest spot a player managed to be on a map (a 1st place beats a 2nd place etc).
  2. If still tied, both/all players advance to the Grand Final.
  3. Frags. If there are too many players tied - that advance to the Grand Final - total frags on all maps will decide.
  4. If players are still tied and there are too many players who advance to the Grand Final, we will need another qualifier of 2 groups.


If players are tied after 6 maps in the grand final, they will split the money with equal shares. They need to be tied on points and placements (the more higher map placements wins).

Rules

  • Minimum 25 ms (ping up if lower)
  • Client: ezQuake
  • Ruleset: smackdown/qcon
  • Prize money require real name to be provided
  • Admins will forcestart the server if players take too long breaks between each map.
  • Any unsportsmanlike behavior or cheats will lead to disqualification. The admins words are final.
  • Server settings:
    • Server: Probably qw.foppa.dk or nl.aye.wtf
    • FFA
    • DMM3
    • Dropquad/ring ON
    • Timelimit: 11
