About
Rebellion Of Thunder aka ROT is a Portuguese QuakeWorld Clan founded by its fearless leader Ztranger in 1998.
The team formed with only Portuguese players from Madeira Island was the elite of the Portuguese QuakeWorld scene defeating any opponents that would stand between them and the crown.
Players rarely played outside local servers until 1999, when ISDN/Cable arrived so the community has always been turned to itself.
Team was originally formed by 
ztranger, ved, phreaker, 
underttaker , nitemare , hammer and [s]trider and their biggest rival was team defs. While defs were a very good team team in the Portuguese scene, they were not able to dethrone The Rebellion from their deserved spot.
2002 - 2008
High pings were a big issue for Portuguese players, so in order to be able to participate in European tournaments with better pings, the team is forced to add players from other nationalities, such as orc, bcm, 
Hedfuk, 
Cpe, 
Cruelty, 
Macavity, 
Pericles, 
Vanquish, 
Afax, 
Dopeskillz, 
spliffy, 
swoop and Hedfuk.
The team participated on a few seasons of the European Quake League.
2018
With many players quitting QuakeWorld from around 2008 forward, the clan died and in 2018 hammer comes back and takes over.
Nowadays, the clan has a new discord server, website, portuguese servers and more accomplishments.
It's still mostly Portuguese players and the majority are from Madeira Island but with members from other nationalities as well.
A group of friends from around the world get together for more QuakeWorld action.
Welcome mushi, 
von, er, john_rambo, and wimpeeh.
2020
Qlan War Tournament 1 appears and many members left to return to their old clans.
So with this hammer decides to restructure the team.
Team says bye to Hedfuk, von, Dopeskillz, er, spliffy, john_rambo, swoop and wimpeeh.
Welcome 
Bernkaoch, ncr and dib.
To participate on Time 2 Hammer Season 2, hammer and Bernkaoch form a team within ROT named DM Riders.
2022
The clan participated on Time 2 Hammer Season 3, Kombat 2on2on2, Qlan War Tournament 1, Qlan War Tournament 2 and Qenya War Tournament 1 with positive performance and results.
Later on the year, we welcome to the family Ironmanen and paniagua.
ROT joins Qlan War Tournament 3 in div1, for the first time in their existence.
2023
Welcome our brothers macler, 
zepp to the family.
The team is then split in two, making ROTa and ROTb for Qlan War Tournament 4.
- ROTa: hammer, Ironmanen, macler, zepp and nitemare.
- ROTb: mushi, paniagua, dib, ncr, ztranger and ved.
In this event ROTa takes 2nd place on divison 1, being the only team in this event winning a map, dm3 to the mighty Commando.
Our good friend maks accepts the invite to join us and participate on Qlan War Tournament 5.
After Qlan War Tournament 5, the team says goodbye to paniagua, macler, zepp and maks.
