Various updates
There are some new updates to the front page of quakeworld.nu, and there will be some more changes in the future that will give qwnu users a lot of insight into QuakeWorld.
The small updates you can see now that I guess I should mention, are on the right-hand side column. One is a shameless plug for my LGC ladder, and another is a live feed from the GoldRush site, letting you keep a track on new bets, and the leaderboard as well. (Look at valla with 15% of the total money!)

I am working on two other projects that are nearing completion and are closely related. Some of you may have already seen http://wiki.qwdrama.com/ELO which is just a test of my new system, which I will apply to 4on4 as well.

Cheers,
Phil

P.S. The GoldRush RSS Leaders are calculated using their total balance, not their current wins, which is slightly different from how the real leaderboard does it. It'll take more code to fix that: maybe in the future

The belt colors don't tell me much. Am I the only who doesn't know how they rank?

Phil, I think it should be possible to make an autosortable table in mediawiki (if not, it sucks . Would be great if you could import it in such fashion so you could just sort per column ://

I guess these rankings are somekind of hybrid of both ELO and GO ranking with the American style belt system and base in the more traditional kyu/dan, where >= 1st dan would be black belt.

Would also be really nice to include country information in the table with flag, pictures are nice .

I have 4on4 ELO (with country flags) as well but only from EQL5,6 which are the most easily parsable tournaments (more tournaments can be parsed thanks to so many screenshots on qwdrama wiki)... I do not have stable country data for 1on1 players, it can be fixed from the 4on4 data ;>
