Today marks the end of the first week of our movie marathon. We have gathered an impressive archive of QW movies and want to share this with our community. To not overwhelm us and get more exposure to all the videos we are releasing them a little at a time. At the rate of 2 movies per day, Monday to Friday. Every friday we are doing an overview from the past week. Read on for this week's review.
Frags Done ExtremeTo our knowledge this was the first official QW video released and was absolutely mindblowing when it came out 11 years ago! It was the start of something great in the way we presented QW and cherished some great moments in QW. I really enjoyed the soundtrack as well. However the movie was rather short, coming in at only 3:08 it almost felt like a ... teaser. I still think it's fun to watch
My personal rating: 7.5/10Brazilian ExtremeBrazilian Extreme came almost a year after the Frags Done Extreme and I think it's safe to say they like end.bsp and midair frags, but then again who doesn't. Video got a nice mix of some tricks, airgibs, 4on4 action and a fast paced soundtrack. Apart from the airgibs the frags aren't so impressive though. This was also a short video coming in at 2 minutes 49 seconds. Bear in mind it wasn't so easy back then to create videos
My personal rating: 6/10Frags Done QuebecFrags Done Quebec featuring, you guessed it, Canadian players. The first video that tried to do some humorous editing. Again a rather short video at 3:35 minutes and frags quality are not that great. rendering quality is also rather poor.
My personal rating: 4/10Excessive CrueltyA break from the usual fast paced rock soundtrack we take it a bit slower in this video, showing some nice tricks that are by todays standard, not so easy to execute. And the editor seems to prefer a lot of slowmotion fragging. A really cute axe-teamplay assist on dm2 is presented that I haven't seen used before. This is the first movie making use of picture-in-picture editing. Frags are mediocre and pace is pretty slow throughout the movie.
My personal rating: 7/10Frags Done Extreme 2The greatly anticipated sequel to the one and only.. the original... Frags Done Extreme. What we had been missing so far in QW video was given in this great release. Nice soundtrack, great frags, fast paced video. First movie with some proper 4on4 quad runs, nice fragstreaks and some high quality frags as well. Top it off with few cool tricks in the end and guest star appearance from SC_LakermaN himself. What more could you ask for?
My personal rating: 8/10Extreme FragsAn abundance of frags and a creative intro can't really seem to save this movie from it's horrible soundtrack editing and mediocre frag quality.
Although I must admit it does get slightly better during the second half.
A rather lengthy video compared to what we were used to at that point. Funny detail though, fullbright backpack skins and fake bolt2.mdl and the odd forward rjump scripts.. those were the days =)
My personal rating: 5.52day we track ChipiA few nice end'ish midair frags in slowmotion and... well, I guess that covers this video
My personal rating: 2/10Brazilian Extreme FragsHeahuaeuhaeuheuhae =)
Funny intro and a fast paced soundtrack. great video editing and nice frags. Was a real treat watching this video again after so many years.
Interesting choice of map textures and cool crossovers. A few minutes in the end with some nice tricks to wind down on all the action makes this video feel like a complete movie.
My personal rating: 7.5/10Dag Def ExtremeOne of the first big milestones in QW movies was reached when the dynamic duo,

dag &

def produced their first installment of the famous 'Dag Def Extreme' series. A solid hardcore rock soundtrack used throughout the video helped feel like it was faster paced, when in reality the whole movie was shown in slowmotion. This was partly to accommodate a smooth feeling as computers back then were not able to process QW in it's purest form and speed on a video based format.
First half of this movie is simply a lot of tricks and funky moves, few nice things here but nothing truly special. Second half is comprised of frags and again few nice ones but nothing really special. Overall feel was that this was professionally made but the content just didn't live up to my expectations. Luckily there was more to come from dag and def
My personal rating: 7/10Bores Done LameThe title alone makes you giddy with anticipation, as there is nothing to get your smile going than watching others fail miserably! The first 3 and a half minute or so you are left wanting, as all you see is nice frags. After that though we are presented with some hot bores and moves that's bound to incite frustration in any of the observed players. I would have liked to see even more bores though. This is also the first of a 3-part series and I can promise as with Dag Def series, this also gets better
My personal rating: 6.5See you on Monday for another week with 10 more QW movies from our community history.
