Trade in old gaming gear for new
Logitech is running a campaign / program where you can send in your old gaming gear and get a substantial discount on new products. Just thought I would share this bit of information with our users as it may be relevant for some that are considering upgrading or simply need to replace warn out mice/keyboards and what not
Follow this link for more information. Logitech will cover the cost of shipment to them as well so it's a win-win situation as I see it.

If anyone has tried this or will try it - please comment here about your experiences.

EDIT: As Diki rightly pointed out in the comments, if you look careful in the very bottom, with very small letters you will read the following:

Offer available only in the U.S. at www.logitech.com for 30 days. Can not be combined with any other discounts or offers.
*Excludes Logitech Revue with Google TV, Logitech TV Cam, Logitech Mini Controller, and G27 Racing Wheel.

This is not mentioned in their official FAQ which I find a bit lame. However I guess this offer is still valid for the US followers who might read this.

Lets hope the program becomes a success and will be available on this side of the pond as well in the future, as I think it's an excellent idea - which more brands should consider adopting.

I did just a quick look and

"Offer available only in the U.S. at www.logitech.com for 30 days. Can not be combined with any other discounts or offers.
*Excludes Logitech Revue with Google TV, Logitech TV Cam, Logitech Mini Controller, and G27 Racing Wheel."

so don't know if its possible in europe?

Hm, what do Logitech get out of this? Publicity?

They can probably re-cycle a lot of the circuity or materials.

Sure, just didn't consider that to be economically viable for them considering that the replacement product gets them a $20 discount + some shipping loss for a keyboard for example. But guess they might just put some extra salt on the price for those new keyboards and we're fine.

On a related note worth mentioning that Logitech have the best customer support of any manufacturer - you just tell them your product doesn't work, send a photo after smashing it up with a sledgehammer and they send you a replacement

When it comes to Logitech, I can sell my G400 (one month old) as quickly as possible

Do you know that from personal experience? And when you say sledgehammer, are you sure you didn't just smash it with your fist during mixgame?

Ive sent back 2 different mice to logitech because of bad contact in the wiring. Both times they just sent me a new mouse.

I always warn my mice and keyboards beforehand that I'm going to replace them
