EQL 13 week 1 review
First week of EQL13 has passed and here we will take a look at the past weeks games and see how the different teams are doing.

Note that the first week was a little short. The EQL admins did not announce league start untill the 17th. So It's limited with the amount of games played. Hopefully it will pick up more next week.
Division 3
In division 3 we only had 2 games. The first was between Concept Blitzkrieg and Paras which CBK won quite convincingly. What is interesting about this match is that the guys from CBK all game from QLIVE and have virtually no experience with QW. Except for their manager Stev, recruited from tKS to help these new guys get a good start on the QW scene. It will be interesting to see how they fair against the rest of the field and if they could advance to div2 next season... if they stick around that long. Their peak gaming hours seem to be between 02 and 05 AM (doh!).

The second map between Paras and Aut Vincere Aut Mori. This time AVAM fell short and Paras managed to redeem themselfs.

Division 2
Pew Pew Blaster was accounted for 3 of the 4 matches played in this division. An impressive activity level. Bit more impressive than their results unfortunately. A straight 6 map loss for PPB was no the best start for this new russian team.
Notable is it that for this team to make it in division 2 they recruited Irvin(score) and the famous BuLaT - both of whom did not play any of last weeks games. This team cannot afford the loss of those 2 key players if they want to challenge the other teams this season.

Another russian entry in div2, the Dinosaurus & Noobs had their behinds handed to them by a lean mean finnish killing machine - lastenharha, previously known as KOFF. Although these days with a weaker lineup - hence the decline to division 2.

Division 1
First up was Slackers vs Suddendeath. These 2 teams faced off not long ago in the EQL PRO finals with SR as the winners. This would be the first match for both teams this EQL season. SR did lose en_karl who left to save tKS and same time SD got back grisling. Those changes did not change SR's rhythm too much as Striker stepped up bigtime and did a phenomenal DM2 round. SD seemed at a loss this game - but it's still early on in the season and I have no doubt they will get going soon enough showing us some great games as well.

Second game last week in division 1 was between TeamKillers and clan MalFunction. The long wait for cMF's comeback did not go on for longer as they already played their first match. They have a really scary lineup and should, on paper, be a clear contestant for the top 3 spots this season. However TKS seemed to put up a really good fight. Everyone expected cMF to mop the floor with their opponents in this match-up but in my opinion TKS held their own. Although the scores seemed to be reverse of my expectations. DM2 was much closer than the e1m2. In any case it will be interesting to follow both of these teams throughout the season. How much will en_karl's return affect TKS results? And will cMF stay active and provide a real challenge for the favorites this season?

notes:
Due to some technical difficulties on the EQL site reporting games was not available until late last night. So some of the games last week might not have been reported yet. We'll try and include them in next Monday's weekly EQL 13 review.

What about activity point?

The missing activity points and other point errors has been reported to EQL and should be dealt with shortly. Hopefully we wont have those errors in the future this season.

Rook1e in CBK also has a bunch of years of qw experience. He didn't play in that first game though. Looks like CBK is a stong contender for div3-finalists.
