Mixed 2on2 Tourney - Season 3

Luckyshot is back and has announced that he is now organising the second season of the fun Mixed 2on2 Tourney. The mixed 2on2 league is played on dm2, dm4, dm6, aerowalk and ztndm3 with dmm3 and powerups enabled. The teams are picked at lottery after each round which will make for some interesting match ups.

The Tourney is due to kick off in 2/3 weeks, once the website issues are sorted out. For now to Register go to #mixed2on2 and contact

Luckyshot with the following details: Quake Name, Nationality, IRC Channel, Email Address.

Full Details:

- Teams are drawn by lottery for each round

- Double elimination system

- Basic rules of the QWDL(tm) apply for the mixed2on2

- dm2, dm4, dm6, aerowalk, ztndm3

- dmm3, powerups on (on each map)

- After each game a player from the winning team must report luckyshot(maps and frags for each team)

- WO will be decided by lottery

Actually this is season 3. First one was in 2004 or something to Finnish players only. Winners of the first season was Fix and Rampage.
Second season did not finish.
There was 8 players left when it somehow froze, with only three games left:
Losers bracket final, winners bracket final and the overal final.

Winners bracket final was:

Losers bracket final was:
Team Lima: luckyshot Milton - Team Alpha: locKtar XantoM

Okay, I have 31 sign ups. It seems I cant get 64 participants so there is room for one more person. If there is sudden grow up in sign ups I will of course take 64 participants. Tourney will start next sunday and the first lottery will be at 22:00 CET (hopefully that is 23:00 FIN time). I hope the new site is also ready before that. Then you have one week to play one game.
