120Hz TFT review, some updates
In case people don't read the blogs on the left, I have written a review about Samsung SyncMaster 2233RZ 120Hz TFT.

I have also updated the The Theory of Smooth Quake guide, because not so long time ago we introduced a new FPS-I feature called cl_earlypackets. And last but not least, the Widescreen Guide was also updated to contain information on the recent change in ezQuake, vid_wideaspect.

It is worth re-mentioning these few guides, since they can affect the smoothness of your client a lot. Hopefully this way more people get the information they might want to know.
In a nutshell, cl_earlypackets frees you from the "must" of having cl_physfps multiplied by integer. In the past you should have had cl_maxfps 154, 231, 308, 385 or so on if you had cl_physfps 77. With cl_earlypackets 1 you can use cl_maxfps of 150, 300, 500 and so on.

ezQuake's vid_wideaspect gets rid of the need for changing conwidth/height by the user, so it's easy now.

Anyway, this is all updated to the articles mentioned above, so time to check them if you have anything you want to learn from there.

I just read your smooth quake guide. Very well done.

I went from
cl_physfps 0
cl_maxfps 308
no early packets because I used old ez version

TO

latest alpha build
cl_earlypackets 1
cl_physfps 77
cl_maxfps 500 (to sync with mouse rate)

and I swear to god I jump farther with that second setup. I played with 1st setup for years and I immediately felt the difference.

You learn something new every day
