dm4 had been Valla's pick. While ParadokS got the better start, Valla seemed unable to catch up the lead that ParadokS had built in the first couple of minutes. Perhaps the game would have went differently with a better start for Valla, but all in all ParadokS seemed a little superior on this map. The game went quite smoothly for ParadokS and it was looking like he'd win this semi-final 2:0 as everyone knew what the next map would be: Para's gem: dm6
After an exciting first couple of minutes with a proper slugfest and Valla permanently equalising Para's 1 frag lead, at some point ParadokS managed to build up a 5 frag lead and it was looking like ParadokS had made it to the final. With a score of 10-5 and just about 2 minutes left, things weren't looking too good for Valla. But somehow he managed to come back, flooded the map with some nice aggressive gameplay, and managed to take this one home 12:10 just seconds before the end of the map.
It was time for the decider: Aerowalk. Just like in the first minutes of dm6, none of the players were at any point able to build up a comfortable lead. Then eventually, in the last minute, Valla was able to score those last frags that secured him the ticket for the final.

It's a bit weird to see these players in the semifinal in a QW tournament. Sure, they are good, but just look at Billy for example who's had a long break and just came back from what i know. He won against a Murdoc who looked like he didn't give a rats ass about whether he won or not. This time it's a whole other cup of tea when the Russian Doom will want to win and grab the Summerjam title. I think the Russian will be very hungry in this game. I'd say DM6 for Billy, Aerowalk for Doom and then it will be a 1 frag margin win for Doom on DM4.

This is a semi-final that surely not everyone would have predicted.
While Doom's participation in the semi-final might not have been the biggest insiders' tip, I'm sure the majority of people wouldn't have bet a lot of money on Billy making it past Spoink and Murdoc. So what have Billy's last games shown us? A couple of things actually: While suffering from a shitty connection, he delivers a solid game play and is most of all dedicated to winning. His stamina (okay, sounds odd when talking about a computer game, but you know what I mean) might actually contribute to the big surprise of having Billy in the final. However, Billy is going to have a very hard time versus legendary Russian powerhouse Doom. Doom is looking solid on all 3 maps and is my personal favorite in this game. Billy might be able to surprise him on Aerowalk, but all in all I got my money on a 2-0 win for Doom if he manages to resist the temptation of rushing into Billy's defensive wall of death.

Doomer seems to have nerves of steal and will win it 2-0

hmm hard to say .. but i think doom has some more experience when it comes to playing a playoff game, so unless billy has some nerves of steel and plays a topgame, i think doom will take it home

I dont know to much about billy so i took a look in the summerjam bracket, and billy isn't what i would put as a traditional dueller. more of the teamplay kinda guy but he seems to peform really good so far in summerjam, beating spoinka the dm6master from germany in dm6 and dm4 loosing on aero. also winning over murdoc 2-0 on dm4/aero. But i feel the duelaura on doom, and he's such a good sport. 2-1 doom. o/
