Group E

Italy
Ghana
USA
Czech Republic

I believe

#1 Italy
#2 Czech
#3 Ghana
#4 Usa

I hard hard group, really any team here can be the winner on 2 good weeks, but I believe in the italian spotti way of playing.
The more tactical it gets the better italy gets. only way to stop them in the playoffs are with pentalies or our doomed.
Czech and nedved is tired after a long season but baros with his pase and koller with his height might disturbe nesta and cannavaro but most likely, smells like a tie!
Sry usa, this is just football not soccer plz go and die

Italy will tie vs the Czech but because the Czhech have a better goaldifference they will win this poule leaving Italy to trail them. USA will end up third and Ghana fourth.

You mean Freddy Adu. I was chatting to an American in Philadelphia last week who was well into his football. He was saying that Adu has a great touch, superb speed and skill, but doesn't have the strength or intelligence to play in a World Cup just yet. 2010 will be his time

I wonder if we will see a match with 3 or more goals in this close defensive group.
Czech attack doesn't scare me at all. Smicer, Rosicky, Koller after injuries. Baros scored only 8 goal's in 24 Aston Villa matches. Nedved 2old and gonna finish with football if Juve will be kicked in Serie B (95%). But experience and hard teamwork should allow them to get 2nd place. Ghana is very physical team, possible surprise
of the group. They have few not bad players in their lineup: Samuel Kuffour(AS Roma), Michael Essien(Chelsea), Stephen Appiah(Fenerbahce), Sulley Ali Muntari (Udinese), Matthew Amoah (Borussia Dortmund), Eric Addo(PSV Eindhoven).
USA is nothing special, last WC's victories are simply overrated.

Baros was playing in a very bad team all season and was pretty much their only good player. A striker like him needs chances to be created for him, and Villa didn't do that very often Don't underestimate him.

<-- Villain

I don't think Baros was on great form this season either.

hopefully he'll do well in the cup and comeback for next season

p.s. he scored similar amounts whilst at liverpool so you can't really blame villa passing
