I just installed nQuake and very weird. Image is too wide. Also "Fonts" in menu widens in the image. Shouldnt this only wide the letters, not image too?

Anyway, how to make correct 16:9 aspect ratio? why no cvar like r_aspectratio like on QuakeLive?

i use fov 103 if it helps

version is ezQuake v3.1 - QuakeWorld(r) Today

Also, what max fps should I use for 144hz monitor?

First off you should probably get the ezQuake 3.5 Alpha, as that is what most people are using atm.

Secondly, the "font" part in the menu can be a bit confusing and could probably have been labeled better, what it does is change the 2d layer's width and height, referred to as the console.

What you want to do is set both vid_conwidth and vid_conheight to 0 and then vid_conscale to whatever you feel comfortable with.

For fps you should use cl_maxfps at 1155, that's 15 times the tickrate.
