Title says it all. Game seems to load fine, I get the initial game menus (New Game, Single Player, Multiplayer, Etc), but once I enter single player mode where you select your difficulty, I press escape and see no text for the menu options.

I suspect it's something with the graphics as I'm running it on an older laptop, however the software version of the ezQuake client alone loads the old school, software style quake and I can see all menus.

Any ideas on how I can get the menus to show in the Nquake/Ezquake noobie launcher?

Solved:

Right-click on ezquake.exe in nQuake directory and click 'Create Shortcut'
Right-click on newly created shortcut and select 'Properties'
Type this into 'Target' field: C:\nQuake\ezquake.exe -no24bit
Click 'Ok'

Double clicking shortcut will now launch ezQuake in something similar to software mode where all custom menu text is now viewable.
