apa: yes upc is nice, way better then adsl crap where you can't leech while playing, it's almost like a lan connections (ofcourse you will get very high latency and or huge packetlosses if you are uploading at a various speed depending on how much your CMTS (Cable Modem Termination System) is loaded. The cmts is the 'gateway' for your cablemodem to inet.if you're lucky (or having a great signal) you can get 13ms in scandinavia with it... (be happy if you get it, i don't really think so) Cablemodem are also known for being unstable and overloaded crap**, UPC is a really nice connection since you can and mostly likely can get 24/8 or 8/8mbit, and this is the real speed, and you will under all circumstances get full througtput with it***, Get it, it's way better then the xDSL crap. Be sure to get the 8mbit upstream for some nice uploadspeeds aswell, (Yeah it's really 950kb/sec upstream). the UPC network is really good for downloading/uploading :p


* This can easy be fixed by changing upstream channel
** Im not really sure with the 24/8 connection, but the 8/8 may give you the nearest to fullduplex you can get without a LAN-connection.


Btw sassa, UPC is not danish, it's from the Netherlands. And UPC have been bought by Comhem.
