i started to notice QW when i found nQuake ...
a very very amazing package!!!

installed also nQuake2 and it's also great!

i find GPL Software very important and i know that there is more people here that think the same, so here's my thoughts:

OpenArena with the Aftershock mod could be a good way to get a "Standard" Q3 competitive package i think.
Aftershock brings:

fullbright models/skins

HiRes Text

OpenArena brings:

the GPL engine and physics

Weapons and all that.

What are your thoughts about this?

imo you should ask this in the openarena forum

aftershock is cool but has a very small player base.
