Hi. Hopefully this question is as simple as it seems to me

I'm running a private passworded server to play some duels with friends. I don't want the qwnet [ServeMe] bot to join it.
I'm confused about how it's joining after I set a password and shut off everything but mvdsv.

Does anyone know how I can prevent the bot joining or adjust it in some way? I noticed on quakephil's port 28000 server there's no bot, so there must be a way to do it...

Hi,

Either ban its IP or contact mihawk (IRC quakenet.org, channel #qw-dev) to remove it from list.

If you're using MVDSV and KTX (which you should) then this post may be of use, i.e. setting nospecs and using a VIP password for any spectators.

It looks like I can achieve a similar result by changing from the default vip_values setting in mvdsv.cfg

// ktx vip password values (do not change)
vip_values "1 8 4 20 12 28"


Is this the backdoor it uses to connect? Seems strange.. (and bad)
