I primarily play FFA, therefor mainly Im on xs4all. However the proxy ban means that my ping can fluctuate quite badly. I don't understand the technical ins and outs about this but I'm lead to believe that the ban is to stop cheating.
However, every time I'm online there seems to be someone at some point during the night who will jump on who is blatantly using aimbot/wall hack software. For example tonight anyone who was playing/spec one of the dm2 matches (07/07/2014, 23:34pm) will know exactly what I'm talking about.
What I'm wondering is that if people who are determined to cheat can cheat anyway is the proxy block still necessary?
Like I said, I don't know the technical reasons for this, if someone could clarify things for me that would be cool
