Does anyone else notice how after you fire a rocket and the RL model recoils, on the way back to its original position it appears to stop for a moment and then continue its movement? To me it seems there are two identical frames in the weapon's animation sequence.

Is it indeed the case and if so, why doesn't someone fix it, spreading the movement across the neighbouring frames so that we can enjoy smooth uninterrupted animation all the way? O:-)

never argue with an idiot. they'll bring you back to their level and then beat you with experience.

Okay frame 6 and 7 are the same, though after the animation is over it stops back at frame 1, so I just removed frame 7 and copied frame2 in its place.. http://www.quakeone.com/qrack/dist/v_rock2fix.mdl

Well I don't know what to say SputnikUtah, you confirmed my suspicion so thanks dude, but you cheated and that calls for a good spanking!

I do feel we could put the vacant slot to good use. It only makes sense that it would take somewhat longer (0.4 s) for the weapon to return to the ready position after a quick energetic recoil (0.3 s), right?

Maybe this is the Quake guy first using his full force to push the RL back, and then decently readjusting it to proper aim angle

Anyway, this should probably be made part of some debug models 1.1?

It's the energy of the gunshot that sends the gun up (very quickly), it's the guy using his muscles to return it to the original position.
