I play with friends sometimes, it's fast but a bit different from qw. The scene is even smaller than qw's.
But it's pretty fun.

Fun fact. The mod they are playing (pk++), primevil is working on that and has made the bright items and hud you see

it's too easy to speedup in pk - just jump forward as far as i remember. not as hardcore as qw))

Actually I'm so used to speedjumping in QW that is seems more difficult in Painkiller

Well, if the scene is even smaller, I won't bother. Still makes me wonder sometimes why some games last and others don't... I know ppl have different ideas about that.

I think Painkiller failed because of the shitty netcode it had on release. I can remember trying to play some ffa with more then 4 players and it was unplayable. Duel was fine, but duel alone is not enough to gain a big playerbase.
