Anyone who have owned func 1030 in the past and moved on to a newer similar model?
My 1030 is completely dead and need to get a new mousemat and I want something that is similar to the rough side on func 1030.

Any suggestions? kthxbye!

If you get a new one, no matter what brand, make sure it covers your whole desk so you can move around when you wear out one area of it

Yepp, I used to have func 1030 but it also kinda died, I switched to 1030 surface: Archetype which I'm very happy with and I've had it for a bit over a year, still just as satisfied! I'd recommend it =)

I wrote some stuff a long time ago about a few mousepads, but it's not as "serious" as those steelseries reviews were. Anyway...

Mousepads galore!

One more mousepad?

I also have Zowie Swift that came with BenQ XL2410T and it is somewhere between Steelseries SP and S&S, so it is a rather good mousepad too.

Nice read, Renzo.

On Steelseries SX:
"+ everlasting surface and perfect finish"

Did you test it enough? I'm looking for something like that if it really is enduring.

Well I have those mousepads I've written about, so I've played with them enough I guess. If I remember correctly, !phil got himself SX too and I think he has used it more than I have so maybe he can shed some light about the SX's durability, but considering the fact that it is made of aluminum, I don't think SX will go bad in a long time.

That being said, I don't like the feeling of the SX when playing QW, since it feels rock hard compared to plastic mousepads. Also, it is smooth which is not the best way to go with something like QW (personal preference, of course).

Thoughts? =)
The 4HD and steelpad 4d are much cheaper.
