Hello!

I'm going to Gothenburg soon and am looking to get tickets for Combichrist at Stickyfingers on the 11th. As far as I can tell, the place to order these is ticnet.se, but the only options for collecting are from ticnet.se or ATG outlets - not at the venue as I would usually expect. This would normally be fine but I don't think my flight gets in till 1600 - and getting somewhere but 1730/1800 to pick up tickets sounds a bit risky.

On this page, I found that there's an outlet open till 2300 on Fridays: http://www.ticnet.se/html/outlets.htmI?l=EN&R=6 - the Coop Konsum Evenyn one - can anyone confirm this is correct, or let me know if there's an easier way to do this?

Apologies if this is astoundingly obvious.

Hey and welcome to Gothenburg, a wonderful city in Sweden!

I buy often tickets on ticnet and there are some complications with it and some easy stuff aswell

Complications with ATG:
They often close the ATG at 18 but the store can still be open to 23 as in Coop Konsum Avenyn, you haveto call them and check it

Great stuff with ticnet:
You can, from what I recall, directly on the site print out your tickets after your purchase.
Still confirm this with ticnet before you buy it or if you have bought it check through the site when you are logged in. I was recently at the EC Handball game Sweden vs Denmark and I bought the tickets through ticnet and printed them out at home!!

Good luck, Ill check this if thread later 2night if you have more questions

Coop Konsum on Avenyn is open to 2300 every day. It is a grocery store. So there is no risk of it suddenly not being open until 2300.

I dont know other ways of collecting Ticnets tickets so I think you have to go there and make the pickup.

as I said before, they might have open until 23:00 but their ATG will prolly be closed after 18:00

Thanks for the speedy responses guys - has clarified things a bit for me so I've decided just to buy them. Unfortunately it doesn't look like I can print them out but there's another ticnet place which is apparently open till 1830 - and 2.5 hours should be easily enough time - and this supermarket one might be fine anyway!

Any tips for metal pub/clubs or tasty cafes or off-the-beaten track places?

Go to the part of town called "Haga" for nice cafes
It is probably a 20min walk or so from that Coop Konsum place on Avenyn

Travel report:

Coop Konsum was easy to find and got the tickets without any dramas. Gig was brilliant.

Gothenburg was pretty cool, but very very quiet in winter it seems! Went down to Varberg to see the bog man, this was excellent. And I had been watching the weather for a bit before hand and there were heaps of > 0 days, but still ice everywhere (in canal thingies and in Varberg)! What's that about! Stupid ice. Went to Rockbaren which was nice, except they make you give them your coat for €2 and then it's bloody freezing inside.. I wanted to keep my coat on!

Thanks for all your help!

Also, what's with all the British/Irish themed pubs? There were at least 6 of them!

Swedes spend their winters in a bear pit, so of course it was a bit dead. It's too cold to go outside 8)

AFAIK there's lots of British/Irish pubs wherever you go in Europe? And they are usually pretty crowded, but I'm not sure why

The entrance fee and coat fee is so that they can make atleast some cash of the immigrants who just dance and order water...
