Just curious, mention the longest time at any point that you played for a clan, if you had a larger break or played in a clan inbetween just remove that time from the total time.
I think paradoks must hold the record with SR by now? Or maybe some TVS'r?
Mine is 6 or 7 years with FS.

I would guess ParadokS could be among them, especially if you keep in mind that slackers was basically a sort of continuation of euthanasia... Then again, I think blAze and Ihminen have been in TVS for the same amount of time I guess.

I joined Oblivion in spring or autmn 2006, can't really remember which of the two and then played there until October 2010. So a bit more than 4 years! Djevulsk must've played a hell of a long time for Oblivion. About 10 years or so! :E But yeah, I think blaze and ihmi might be record holders here??

At least from my pov it seems pretty obvious. tVS is one of the oldest clans in the scene, playing from pretty much the outset of QuakeWorld and both blAze and Ihminen have been there for most of that time (if not all, I can't remember exactly). Ihminen has however played at least for SSC during that time and I'm not sure how active the brothers have been during _all_ of the years, but even with all that taken into consideration, I think they take the pot easily. Actually Slaughter from SSC might be the next contender here, but he's had more breaks.

Of course I have to admit that I don't know all the players and clans from other countries that well from the earliest days (if they weren't top clans). Just seems to me that since cMF is gone, there really aren't that many contenders left.

I would be staggered if it wasn't blAze or Ihminen as they have played in tVS for over 10 years and by that I mean the clan has remained pretty active during those times and also the players. Guys like Maga and Mirage to my knowledge must be fairly close in terms of being in tVS for a very long, but not so active as those two.

It's definitely not ParadokS because:
a) SR didn't even form until 2001
b) He played in some other clan called Leftovers a few years ago before they transformed back into Slackers

Slaughter of SSC might be a possiblity but don't know if he has played as many seasons as blAze.

Maga? Sure he is running around with a tVS tag, but he has played like two games for them in total? :E Mirage used to play a lot back in the days, but hasn't played for years and years. It's really hard to compare something like this though since most players have been on big breaks, been in another clans for shorter times when the original clan has been inactive.

Well Slackers died somewhere around that time and para played a couple of games with teh russians and then joined leftovers, where we tranformed back to Slackers in like a week

Yeah I misread the question and thought it didn't count if you had played with some other clan inbetween (but it does you just subtract that). Seems Para played pretty much every game for DT in EQL2 but not really relevant, he's still probably clocked up 8-8.5 years in SR.

As for myself I never really considered myself to be a clan hopper but when I look at my history I've never played longer than 2-2.5 years in a clan. Normally seems to only be about 12-18 months! Although to be fair most clans I've left has been due to inactivity.

I joined tVS in June '97. I had like 1.5 - 2 years break from qw at some point though. Ihminen messed up his clan record by playing for SSC when tVS wasn't playing.

Didn't para play with euthanasia, which was the ]SR[ of back then? And then E died and some E members (para, goljat) started SR and kept on pwning

edit: Yup, someone already mentioned this.

I think I am the oldest of anyone in any clan btw (I've been in clan total-fucking-noob since 1996 edit2: ok not even since 1996, goddammit, I haven't even been a noob for that long, only started playing around 1999)

I think everyone who played atleast 3-4 seasons in a row (meaning smackdown, nqr, eql, or a combination of those) for the same clan should get a fucking medal.
The ones teaming up in new constellations each season just makes it harder to make divisions and also ruins the little consistency we have in the scene.

I jumped around some between 200-2005 due to the fact that each and every clan i was in at some point went inactive. It takes some work and recruiting but we have managed to keep Chosen going since 2005 now

In that case Hooraytio, Quakeklan should earn some sort of medal in like division running in shortest time hehe.
But guessing there is more teams who has made the same though?

Guess we played in almost every div possible (except rookie) jumping up like 1 div every season until we got idle

Rikoll probably did one of the fastest div runs, going from div4 to div1 in just a couple of seasons.. At the same time jumping directly into top5 in duel

He did jump from div4 to like div1 from EQL8 then didnt play EQL9, but EQL10 he played in div1 with Axemen. Thats a nice jump. Still think we win the not-skip-divs-part

Remember we played a lot of povs in 2008 when he was in Naim. He has always had good aim, but then he started playing a lot of duel like beginning 2009 or something? I remember him getting his ass beaten by Locktar for a pretty long period of time but didn't give up and finally got really good at 1on1 Must say it's impressive!

(North America) I joined DG in 1996 and played through the glory years until 2000. I took 10 years off until 2010, and have been playing all this year.

Here is an old screenshot for some kind of proof
http://www.kerrk.com/qw/dg-wd3.jpg

I saved 5-10 gigs of demos and websites from the 90's era, but, they are mostly NA demos and content. Coming back was worth it.
