My registered version of mirc got corrupt with a virus recently or so says my Virus Guard F-Secure.
I quarantined it as recommended and let F-Secure remove the problem binary.
I un-installed mirc and then downloaded a new version. But when I install it complains as follows:

"Virus & Spy protection has detected Client-IRC.win32.mIRC riskware in your computer"

I've tried loads of things but cant get it to just work.

Anyone any ideas ?
Thanks

That's not a virus, for some reason your stupid AV tags it as "riskware" (this is not an actual virus). You can send the "infected" file here:

http://www.virustotal.com/

And see what 40 scanners think of it. False positives are a bitch, but in this case it's just the stupid AV being an idiot and deciding (or at least trying) what's best for the users.
