what i don't understand is how you can rank 28 weeks later higher than 28 *days* later. or maybe mushi never saw that one?

I do agree with the Alien movies, especially the first 3 and more especially the first 2, with 2 as my fav. I got two boxsets of all Alien movies, The Legacy and the Alien Quadrilogy boxset which has a massive load of extras and all versions of the movies (normal & director's cut).

I think I just need to share that

Oh and the Descent was nice, except for the ending... which I still don't really get...

The Exorcist 1 is indeed a classic too, but a horrible experience, if you know what I mean.

To add one of my own that you haven't listed yet, I name 'Salem's Lot' (the old version from 1979), which probably doesn't scare anyone at the same level as back then, but when I was a young boy, this vampire movie scared the shit out of me and I didn't want to have any curtains open at night because I was affraid to see the dead boy outside.

Some scenes:

mr.Barlow (the main/master vampire):

A fun, not scary vampire movie, but very entertaining vampire movie is 'Van Helsing'.

And I also liked Predator with Arnold.

I also liked the Herny Kane scene from Poltergeist 2:

In no particular order:

- Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the first, and ONLY the first, not the poor remake either) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0072271/)
- The Exorcist (original) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070047/)
- Ring & Ring 2 (Jap. original), as well as The Ring (American remake)
- Dark Water (Jap. original) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0308379/)
- A Tale of two Sisters (Kor. original) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0365376/)
- The Descent (probably the best horror movie of the last 5 years?) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0435625/)
- Pet Sematary (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098084/)
- El Orfanato (okay sorry, THIS is the best horror movie of the last 5 years) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0464141/)
- The Shining (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081505/)
- The Eye (Chin. original) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0325655/)

I'd probably come up with others if I put more thought into it. Oh, there's another good one - The Others. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0230600/)
