You guys know the famous q2 ffa map The Edge? And that there's a nice remake with frogbot support for qw?

There are two or more remakes if i remember correctly, i'm sure there is one with teles, and one faithful. Both have frogbot support. It would be good ffa map, but it's too easy to kill someone when his at the stairs around central area, trying to get armor on top of the boxes etc. - lack of stairjump and doublejump from Q2 is killing this map imo - you can't do even half of tricks you can in Q2. Also weapons aren't placed wise - sng for chaingun and lg for railgun is not good choice on this map. I loved original when Q2 was 'big' and played it on lan @ school and @ internet cafe (about 9-10 years ago internet acces was still expensive and slow in Poland, few ppl have it, so we have little choice) but in QW it's just isn't the same. Map feels cheap and unbalanced. I would love to see someone make QW twist of it: less stairs, more ramps, wise placed teles, smaller scale, proper gun placement, maybe quad in middle arena? It would rock.

But in current state i think there are better ffa maps that should made it to the pool.

Yeah perhaps you're right. It was a blast in Q4 though. Too bad that game had so many problems in comparison with other quakes.

Anyway, I also know Tim Willits made a q1edge ... the official id software mapper.

Q1edge has been used for 4on4 in UK leagues no? Not sure though, has been too long ago and it might not even have been a league.
