Hehe, a friend of mine told me a few years ago that qw-players generally were the fastest typers on keyboard. Let's prove that! So, how fast do YOU type?!

http://typera.tk <- try your skillz here!

It has support for english, swedish, finnish, dutch, german and portugese 2 min-sentences... that should luckily enough cover a kinda big part of the qw-community?

My own personal best: 581 keys per minute @ swedish 2 min.

Have fun, don't get addicted! Heh. Man, some ppl have >800 keys per minute in english that's sick.

Tried finnish and english and got about 330 per minute on both, though finnish seemed a lot harder

Well, clearly Flintheart started this thread to brag, so let's beat him! :-)
I got 500 after three attempts, but already getting pretty sick of it since the sentences are so fucked up I would like to see Eta-Beta try, he might be the fastest one out there!

Done around ~550-570 somethings, can't recall exactly.

Haha flinta, what's your record in typing the alphabet? I got 1.87 seconds (was some boring lessons in school like 4-5 years ago)

I don't really remember, but I think it was around 2-3 seconds... sooo long time ago, when I was 13 years old in 6th grade, and now I'm 25 :E

All this says nothing if you don't post your MISTAKES as well !!!!

I had 300 keys p/m in Dutch and two mistakes. We should ofcourse have zero mistakes otherwise there's absolutely nothing to brag about.

Exactly, and if you want to have all these symbols as well, like me, then you won't reach 500 words per minute (as some of these guys posted).

I'd be surprised if even one of these people here can reach their posted speeds while keeping all the necessary punctuation intact as you would when you type a letter for a company or for a school assignment.

In other words: I think you guys are a bunch of typing n00bs

oh yeah the famous (and useless) type the alphabet, all i remember about this is that i got close to breaking the 2 second barrier :p

edit:
typing casually on the first try, i got 111 wpm, so I guess that I've gotten better since last time (could probably break 600 if i wanted to)
