Hello dudes,

Can iMac users set display frequency?

I'm having problem to sync my FPS with the display video frequency. In spite of put at cmdline "+set vid_displayfrequency 75" and then set "cl_maxfps 77" my game gets weird. Its seems like is set to 20 FPS.

The best way I find is to not set any vid_displayfreq and set cl_maxfps 300, but I feel that's not the best way of playing and I got stranges lines on my display.

Any suggestion?

Thanks,
Regards,
JPEE

I never looked at the code concerning this feature. As I never played competitive on a mac I simply enable vid_wait (vid_vsync) and disable indepdentent physics and I'm set. So I guess its unsupported at the moment.

edit/p.s.
if thats really is your commandline.. i doubt the mouse params will have any effect.

:/

So "+set vid_displayfrequency *" dosen't work on Mac. It dosent make any difference if you set 75, 85 or 120 at cmdline, on game It keeps with 60hz. Although I can get 600 FPS I must play with 60 FPS to sync with my display freq that is 60hz :~

Must be a software like USB Overdrive(for mice) that can change your display refresh rate to 75hz, but I didnt find any :~

well the iMac TFT should run at 60Hz. so won't get any more frames displayed on screen than 60 per second ever.. on any game. to avoid the resulting drawback that you communicate less often with the server than with 77 hz cl_independentphysics was invented. In theory vid_wait = 1 and independet physics on should give best results.

there might ne some lag for mouse input in this case.. but life sucks :-)
