Hey! I was playing QWTF in the late 90's and it was really fun.
I was dreaming for years(!!!) about playing again one day.
So now the clients improved a lot, smart all-in-one packages are done but...
1) Where to find not-empty servers to play ?
2) Where to find good and interesting demos ?

I hope someone could help!!!

There is sadly very little activity in QWTF (at least in Europe). Some of us do play 2on2 occasionally, you can keep an eye on quake.fi:27500 in the evenings.
You can also ask around in #kvadd on QuakeNet for mixed 2on2:s or 3on3:s.

We have also been planning on playing the annual TomteFortress -tournament the coming weekend, it probably is a long shot due to lack of players, but it might still be worth to check that your TF is playable.

As for demos, here are some that could be nice:

8on8:

A lot of 8on8 demos by Elimi http://www.challenge-tv.com/index.php?mode=demos&game=38&searchtext=elimi Elimi POV

2on2:

You might like my footage of old QWTF matches. These are from North America, mainly late 1990s and early 2000s.

http://www.youtube.com/user/Tickenest for my YouTube page.

http://qwtf.digitaljedi.com/ for a full listing + SPEEDStats of each one, and the YT videos are embedded in the SPEEDStats page.

Also, I'm interested in QWTF demos anyone may have sitting around and would be interested in having posted on YouTube. I started doing my own personal demos as kind of a vanity project (and also because I felt that *someone* might be interested) and decided to start other people's demos from there. I've actually got a healthy set of demos from various people who have come out of the woodwork and contributed, but I'm always interested in more. Contact me through YouTube or else com . gmail @ tickenest (put it together and you'll get it.)
