Hi,

Are there any bots that run seperate from the server (e.g. not written in quake-c) which work with the mvdsv quakeworld server on a linux box?

I don't think there are any really working ones around, and non-funtional or semi-functional ones are also few and far between. "Stoogebot" is a name that comes to mind, although I that might have been more of an aimbot/proxy then an autonomous client (if that is the case, it would have been similar to Kl33n3x).
A good place for info used to be the botshop and specifically for your question: http://botshop.planetquake.gamespy.com/client.html

Or you could try your luck on google with 'quake client bot'.

And then again, anything you would find would be regular Quake/NetQuake based rather then Quakeworld (except Kl33n3x).

There is mikeBot for NetQuake but it isn't very strong and also a dummy bot for QW by HighlandeR called dcbot, which does basically nothing - it's only for testing purposes. So the answer is no, afaik.
