using a g5 with latest setpoint on vista.. have setpoint implentation selected, game detected is not selected and have rate set to 1000 and 2000 as the only x y settings.

ok, basically what happens is whether using in_mouse 3 or in_mouse 1 my mouse is laboring up after a few minutes of play and like slows it down as if ive just lowered my sens.. side to side, turning around and general movement is slowed down... when i vid_restart however it fixes the problem for a few minutes. WTF is going on.. i cannot just have smooth fast quake continuously for some reason. any ideas on wtf this could be ?? and how to fix....

Thats a weird problem and I know povo tried to fix it without success. I suggest trying Win XP (if you can) to determine whether its a Vista problem or not. I would honestly just use in_mouse 2 if that works perfectly. I mean its direct input how bad can it be?

he is using sys_highpriority 1 and sys_yieldcpu 1
we tried setting the KHALMNPR process (the setpoint driver) to higher priority in task manager and that did not fix anything either.

well installed and tested windows xp 32 bit and it appears the same problem is occurring. mouse slowing down with vid_restart and in_restart speeding it backup for a small ammount of time then slowing it down again. occurs with in_mouse 1 2 and 3. when i do 3 i get this message..

RAW INPUT: [6] \??\HID#VID_046D&PID_C041&MI_00#7&52CAA07&0&00000#
RAW INPUT: [6] initialised with 1 mice

maybe a developer can assist with this problem. is it likely to be setpoint, my mouse or quake. who knows. how fcking fcked

well.. this is clearly a problem with ezquake. i just tried a new mouse, microsoft habu, same problem.. ive spoken to other peoples and they are getting the same slow down in responsiveness with mx518 g5 habu and other mice. u in_restart and it smoothens it back up. tried with multiple os's mulitple mice, same problem. so it must be a problem with ezquake. can a developer perhaps look at this problem.. note the raw input error above i wrote when in_restarting. it is different error when using this new habu mouse. please help further...
