hey all, new to forums.. from australia. somewhat experienced player been playing since 98 but had several multiple year stretches off.. sometimes seem to have missed the boat on new configurations and clients etc. just recently going to the new ezquake has improved my game massively. but yeh was wanting some assistance with adjusting/removing/adding anything to my command line. wanted to get best sound possible as long as it doesnt inhibit frames or speed or anything.. have new headphones and want to take advantage of their awesomeness. need a new soundcard but. anyways command line is.. (beware very old)

am running a vx922 viewsonic 19inch monitor and trying to get it to run at 75 or above hz. looking into refreshlock atm. but yeh any advice on anything else in the command line. i remove my full config i had posted here.. kind of whack.. so any look at my command line and advice would be appreciated. cheers

There are equivalent in-game commands for all command-line options in ezquake 1.8 and beyond. No command line options are necessary.

s_* for sound options
vid_* for video options
in_m* and m_* for mouse options

Also, I use the same monitor as you and it will do 75hz at its native 1280x1024 resolution.

You need to look at your graphics card drivers. Probably not a problem with QW.


I don't think there is an equivalent for heapsize (If it's ever needed is another matter).
