whats up with that? come on now. I heard its because it can be "cheating", thats completely stupid..you can still make an 8-bit texture with brights. someone help me with this, I don't understand.

how can you make an 8bit texture with brights and pass sv_mapcheck 1?

oh, I never did for map textures. just weapons. but still, I see brights working on 8-bit textures on maps.

those are already included in the .bsp file by the map maker

ezquake will allow luma by default for bmodels and alias models, unless server explicitly disallow this.

Change the colourmap.
But that should be listed in f_modified.

But fullbright player models are allowed... and walls to match are not. wtf?

wow, what a coincidence. I just played on some servers and the luma textures are now working! idk if its because of the latest test build of ezquake or the servers changing. the actual texture of this dispenser won't work, I'll look into it.

thats a screenshot with me playing megatf(the mac10 comes from that, but I modified it slightly) coop and that dispenser you see was made by plague. his quake weapon models are probably the most used in all of the players right now and have been for a while now.

MegaTF is basically Team Fortress on energy drinks and a lot of new additions, like proximity mines(soldier), spikes(soldier), laser trip bombs(demoman), Airmirv(demoman), laser drones(engineers), minisentries(engineer), baseball bat(scout), jetback(scout), and a lot of other cool stuff.
