This might sound strange to some, but what about a command like cl_fakelag 1, that makes qw feel like 39 ms lag for example, but the actual ping is 13 or 25 so the weapons dosnt lag

The thing is that i like the "feeling" of moving around with 39-50 ms, its more like moving in sirup than for example 13-25 ms that is way to responsive for my taste.

Is this even possible?

i was thinking if u could achive this with cl_maxfps 100000 and cl_physfps 20

atleast when u watch a mvd demo, its a lot smoother than qwd

Delay sending packets with certain amount of time. Doesn't sound impossible (rather easy) but I don't think if this has any real practical use and that it won't break anything else in the process. Developers might not like the idea though, but with this kind of feature you could get rid of the annoying "near frametime" pings that make your qw jump around badly.

i think he only wants lag for movement, not weapons. so delaying packets won't do any good.

My misunderstanding. Delay every command in your cfg with wait commands

I think client side cl_minping is already in ezquake's todo list.

What jOn wants is cl_placebo 1 because movement is exactly the same at ping 13 or 50 due to prediction.
