so, i'm pondering how much there have been usage of msg_triggers, i don't see much of those on starplayers cfgs. i don't have quake at hand, so i can't test this shit out, but are one able to msg_trigger server messages, like "sassa got bored with quad"? and are there differences between eQuake and Fuh with this matter. And do msg_triggers work with ignore? Thanks if any of you guys can bring light to these matters.

eQauke is the package, FuhQuake is the client that comes with that package

or you could just download fuhquake or ezquake and never ever use equake.

AFAIK msg_triggers used in teamfortress and useless in tdm.

Not useless in tdm, but -ruleset smackdown blocks them.

You can echo LEDs to the console by entering the chars directly. In FuhQuake you would press Ctrl+R/G/B. Not sure about ezQuake.


What I wanted to do: alter server msgs, such as "b1aze rides Term's rocket" to more efficient form: "Term $R$R b1aze" a.s.o. I like old servers msgs but on some official games it would be nice to have little more dullnes and effiency to see who dies and who's got the rl.
of course there should be different "term $R$R b1aze" msgs if term is an enemy/has rl/shaft/bores/quad/what ever.

This shouldnt be impossible, and I know there are some others wanting same thing.

So, bring your ideas fellas.
