this makes me think actually

a good feature request for ezquake, if client automatically downloads .bsp from the server, it should also try to automatically download .lit and .txt with the same filenames

client and server both needing to decompress .zip would add some delay to map load

yes transfer would be faster, but saving 30 seconds for a one off file transfer vs gaining 3 seconds on every single map change?

well i was assuming the client would save the uncompressed files
