I bought Acer X193W widescreen LCD monitor.
It's native resolution is 1440x900 @ 60hz.

On ezQuake 1.8:

800x600 @ 75hz works well
1280x800/768 (wide) @ 60hz works well but I get this annoying razor effect, I assume I've just wrong fps?
1440x900 works well.

The problem is that 960/940 x 600 works just in windowed mode.

I'm using Deurks wide config (Thank you very much!)

_windowed_mouse "1"
vid_allowExtensions "1"
vid_allowSoftwareGL "0"
vid_borderless "0"
vid_colorbits "32"
vid_conheight "525"
vid_conwidth "840"
vid_customheight "900"
vid_customwidth "1440"
vid_depthbits "32"
vid_displayfrequency "60"
vid_flashonactivity "1"
vid_forcerestoregamma "0"
vid_fullscreen "1"
vid_glDriver "opengl32"
vid_hwgammacontrol "1"
vid_ignoreGLErrors "1"
vid_maskMinidriver "0"
vid_mode "-1"
vid_showextensions "0"
vid_stencilbits "8"
vid_verbose "0"
vid_vsync "0"
vid_xpos "1476"
vid_ypos "148"

How do I get 940x600 to work? Or do I?

Thank you!

The problem with 1440x900 is fps.
I tried to use powerstrip (thanks Renzo!).. but 960x400 just won't work.

Anyway, 1280x800 @ 60hz works pretty well, allthough fps drops sometimes.
I think i'll do some experimental field experiments before making the decision between 800x600@75hz stable fps and 1280x800@60hz fps-drops..

What video card do you have? Must be pretty ancient if it can't run 1440x900 @ 60fps.

My guess is maybe you don't have 960x600 defined in your graphics driver... is it available to choose as a desktop resolution?

My video card is Radeon Xpress 200 (I've a laptop)

And I don't want to use 60fps but 120 fps.

I've set 960x600 and 940x600 with powerstrip and they do appear on desktop resolutions.
