In NFProxy there was a spectator mode called Who Killed Who which would auto track the player who dispatched the player which you were watching. Is there a feature like this in ezQuake?

Also requesting this. Used to be called deathcam in a different implementation.

There seems to be a go_killer command in KTPro.

This would be a very cool feature. Don't think it wouldn't be too hard to implement..

Probably better to have it in ezquake instead, then it could be used with demos/qwtv/spec etc

Added "trackkiller" command to ezQuake, works for QTV/MVD/regular spectator.

Any special reason for that, or just old habit? Maybe a kickass loc-making-config that only works for NF proxy? I'm just curious as to why you wouldn't use ezQuake (or Fuhquake if you use to play with that).

(Sorry for off topic)

I heard Darkplaces has a feature to visually display what areas the location markers occupy, if that's of interest.

I tried it today! It's working, but not the way a thought it would. I was thinking in something that would constantly track the killer of the player you're spectating! Right now you have to send the command trackkiller to change between player that was being tracked and his killer.

Hehe, the only reason I'm still using [NF]Proxy is just that... old habit! I have never ever actually tried Qizmo, went directly from NF to mqwcl to fuhquake to ezquake. I actually believe that the loc making ability is better with Qizmo, it's just me beeing lazy!

But still, I like being the guy who makes loc files hehe... so I actually don't want EZQuake to have this feature, haha Molgrum tho asked me a few months ago if i wanted a separate program/plugin/whatever he meant to make loc files, and I sure would love to have that with some nice features, I actually even made a feature-list a few months ago of stuff I would like to have then. Reason for me wanting to have a separate program (or whatever) doing loc files is pretty simple... nfproxy + qwcl.exe is waaay toooo oldschool! I mean, it's "ok" making locs, but I have to do it in software, all my mousebutton aren't working, and just overall unmodern, and etc...

But I do still all-in-all enjoy making loc files for the community!

And btw, I have never heard of "Darkplaces" hehe.
Cheers!

Any news? I tried yesterday's ez nightly build but trackkiller stills working the same way. And this is a waste of a nice feature!

I would also like to ask that when tracking a player that leaves the server, the trackkiller should look for the next available player to track.

tnx!
