Source and readme will be included in final version. There's no meaning in adding this stuff in the beta versions!

This would be half-true if it was a private beta. But since you decided to release it to the public you are wrong with that assumption. Please at least include a txt file. Should only take you 3 minutes. You don't even need to fill out half of the fields if you don't want to (author and license stuff is important). http://shub-hub.com/idgames2/levels/base.txt

I'd like to see wooden crates instead that computer stuff. Some storage crates makes more sense here I think.

Now that you're changing original levels, perhaps a wider corridor wouldn't hurt either. Lot's or Q1 levels have too narrow corridors in my opinion.

I would also remove the Pentagram... what's fun about an invincible player...

Further you made some nice changes but I still don't know how this level plays cause there was no frogbot support (didn't feel like changing that myself). Personally I think the original levels could use a touch up indeed, but especially when it comes to small corridors and other stuff that can be annoying sometimes, like getting stuck because the levels are not clipped out like in quake 3. Die hard QuakeWorld players may not care, but people who come from Q3 love smooth walls and stairs that don't stop your straferun. Stairs could therefore also use an invisible wedge clip brush so it becomes an invisible ramp like in Q4. I can imagine QW players would do all kinds of cool jumps from that too.

I agree, we should have .txt for all maps! they sometimes stay in alpha/beta version, so txt is needed from the start

I'm putting this beta on XS4ALL ffa instead of the original to see if people like it or not.

Even though I dislike edited maps
Custom maps for the show, episodes for the pro.
