tbh I find these drawings quite repetitive, people fading into objects :|

maybe its a series?
maybe its me?

I just love working like this. Starting with nothing. Not knowing. Just doing. And see where it ends.

thats the exact reason why i like them. the fine melding of nature and body into a freehand sketch. i couldnt come up with this stuff... let alone draw .... off the top of my head no less.

keep it coming buur.

And from here on it will be just all (or almost all) be filled up. With ehm, rocky things and/or stones. I lost track myself for how many weird faces and figures there are 'hidden' in the rocks.

I might even go colour this one up. If only it was to see what the bits will be like that wont be filled up. The empty bits might be as cool or weird as the filled up bits.

After staring a while at the previous drawing, the black and white one, I suddenly realised I wanted to do something like that with the rocks but less with the figures the old way. My old way. Making it on board, with the ink dots and all and drawing with the knife-blades. Yep. That's it. So here is my start, with the inks and the pastels for the background.

Wouldn't more cheerful pictures sell more? :p I've got to say though, that I like your painting in #251 much more than your previous work that tend more to the scary or a little weird.

You are probably right that more cheerful paintings would sell better, because most shallow people not look further than matching colours for above their couch and when they see right away what it is or is supposed to be, OR quite the opposite do it so abstract that it represents nothing but colours so it requires no further thinking.
But that's too easy for me.
I like works that can make you think or that will try to make you look further and/or deeper into symbolisms for what it stands. Or as some discovery, because you can go stand with your nose on my works and still see its worked out into ridiculous tiny details. And you might find suddenly much more thingies in there as what you thought you saw at first glance. This, of course, is very much depending on what materials and what techqnique I use.
Anyways.
It is not my goal to make realistic works. Neither do I want to go too abstract in just spitting some paint on paper and put a frame around it.
I had to smile for you saying you like the one in post #251.
That is just a start. Only the background colours.
Hahaha and from there I will make weird or scary things in it.
Hmm.
Can I maybe just say that cheerful pictures are boring?

Caught up working on the big one on board again.
Underneath the yellow dress came a stump of a tree and some snail on a leaf.
