In EZQuake, the menu to load a saved game looks to the wrong directory when a gamedir is used.

I don't believe anyone has made a gamedir compatible single player stuff for Quakeworld before.

If using sv_gamedir undergate and gamedir undergate with EZQuake, saved games correctly save to c:\quake\undergate\save but the Load Games menu looks in c:\quake\qw\save (or wherever the default single player saves are located) even when a gamedir is being used.

It looks for spprogs.dat, it doesn't find them -> shows content of <quake>/qw. Should I make it to look for qwprogs.dat too?

Thank you for that info.

I just tried renaming the qwprogs.dat to spprogs.dat to see if the Undergate start up works using the exec method, and it does. I wasn't aware spprogs.dat could be run from a gamedir, that's very cool. And if I name it spprogs.dat, it is looking in the same place for the save and load menu, which is much better.

I would, if it isn't too much trouble. Currently, with a qwprogs.dat the save game menu is looking in the gamedir but the load game menu looks in \qw which is confusing.

I plan on eventually making more of these type of projects and plan to support Quakeworld in them whereever possible since I have everything I need to do this in the future now. I will change future versions of this project and any similar projects in the future to use a spprogs.dat instead of qwprogs.dat in the future for better backwards compatibility, but alas about 230 people have already downloaded the qwprogs.dat-version (a 75 MB download).

I think it'd be better just to use spprogs.dat. It's easier for users to rename file or download updated pack then to wait for next ezQuake, plus the change in client would be some kind of small hack.
