History

Early years

a2k were founded on the 11th of May 1999 by red and shadz. red at the time was unclanned after quitting DV a few months before, shadz was in TGC, both of them wanted to give clan leadership a try. Our first member was h3xy, who was also in TGC with shadz. Next up was clarkus, who knew shadz from a FFA server. He was currently in EOA after leaving COC, a clan setup with some of his friends. He claimed to keep forgetting to tell EOA he was leaving them; but personally I think he was just keeping his options open :D. qmole joined next. He was in TGC along with shadz and h3xy, but had quit recently to join GM. He joined us a couple of weeks after we formed.

red, shadz, h3xy, clarkus and qmole. That is our original line-up. A few other players joined during our first few months of activity, but most didnt stay for very long.

During the year 2000 we had a few more players join that actually stayed for a while. Duce (currently of hhh) became our first euro. Shortly after he joined he said he knew of somebody that might want to join, that was Ayvern (aka banana-joe of hyphen) who did indeed join. Gibbs (also of hyphen) joined shortly after.

On the 16th of February 2001 we merged with Fatal Error. Which saw browngasm, def, kamikazi & some other people that I can't remember added to our squad. This also saw cosmos have his first stay, who joined as a joint leader. Not sure how long this lasted for tho, but I think majority of the FE players left after a few months or weeks due to lack of games. For a change we actually had too many players. And thats all I can remember of the past.

The new era

NQR 6

a2k was reformed by qmole for NQR6. The lineup at the start of the season included red, clarkus, qmole, doser, cosmos and Willgurht. tGM, being new to quakeworld 4on4 joined during the first weeks and quickly made it into the first lineup. Most of the games was played by clarkus, cosmos, Willgurht and tGM.

Division 5: 5th

Bronze-playoffs: 4th (After losing Bronze Cup losers final to Batida Swing)

Players: clarkus, cosmos, Willgurht, tGM, Adde , Moof

Adde left fnu2/boeg for a2k. Most of the games was now played by cosmos, tGM, Willgurht and Adde while clarkus played less frequently.

Division 3a: 3rd

A2k now equipped with two star players from Four Kings, Moof and Sae, became a force to be reckoned with in division 3b.

Lost Adde to World of Warcraft, but managed to recruit superstar springs and along with Hagge the squad looked solid. However we didn't manage to come out on top and ended up in 3rd place.

The addition of moris added the much needed stability on dm2. Overall our best season thus far, a solid playerbase who for once played like a team. The map pool was in our favour, since we are strong on cmt4. Division 3: 1st \o/

A season of uncertainty, Willgurht was more or less MIA, we weren't too interested in playing games at all. However we managed to recruit yet another British former superstar Q50, whose quake-knowledge and mere presence made us rejoice. Unfortunately we weren't able to keep him infront of his computer more than this season.

Division 3: 6th

Adde had an epiphany and decided to put a2k in div2, with all the big fish. This decision however wasn't well recieved among most of the players. This resulted in poor activity, and one of the worst seasons for a2k in "modern times". Activity overall was surprisingly poor in div2, which meant that we somehow didnt end up last. a2k for div3 in EQL6 \o/.
