QHlan will have rookie sections in 1on1/2on2/4on4 as always
EQL wil have one 4on4 section just for rookies

nice idea about eql finals @ qhlan, how about prize money? might attract more ppl to qhlan, especially foreigners

Guess im gonna push my opinion some more here. elite/avarage/rookie sections for qhlan 1v1/2v2/4v4 or atleast 4v4. 2 divs is not enough.

Well usually there has been more than 5 clans @ qhlan. Somewhere around 12-16
And i rather play the clans that are about the same skill as my own team.

Let say there is 12 teams signing up for 4v4. If those are split into 4 groups (3teams per group) like last year it would mean 3 groupgames per group (2 games/team). If split is done based on seeds, each group would have teams of skill ~div1,div2,div3/4. Then we would see 3 matchups where we are 100% sure what the outcome will be. Then perhaps the top team of each group would make it to the playoffs and we would actually see some interesting games. That would make a total of three (3) interesting games out of the 15 games played.

On the other hand if 3 divisions of 4 teams are used there would be 18 out of 18 games with evenly matched teams.

qw is great fun, not even on lan are you going to be given the chance to play against more than 3 clans...

well, it will be like smackdown, every1 in groups:
#1 #2 = playoff.A
#3 #4 = playoff.B
#5 #6 = playoff.C

We have had that system before in QHLAN
It all depends how many players/clans are coming, but no, I wont have it the NQR system on qhlan willgurth so u can forget it.

you are suggesting a tournament with two groups of 6 teams, assuming you used my example of 12 teams. then it would be a different matter with 5 groupgames per team. We would then see 39 games. Where perhaps only 19 of the games are total rapes and the other 20 should have some potential of being interesting.

I like this idea better and would give the participating teams perhaps 3-4 Quality games out of the total 6-7 played games.

The idea i like the most however is if we could just put all teams in one group and each clan plays each other once. Then big final for #1 and #2. This would require a tight schedule tho and prolly ditching the 2v2 competition.

Time is always the factor when we got 1on1, 2on2 and 4on4.

The Schedule should look something like this (wrote it in my blog aswell)

Thursday
1on1 starts from 18:00 -> 01:00 >> 7 hours

Friday
2on2 starts from 12:00 -> 22:00 >> 10 hours

Saturday
4on4 starts from 12:00 -> 22:00 >> 10 hours

err, forgot, Semifinals/finals will of course be on Saturday night since Sunday is not a good day for Finals!
The price ceremony will also take place on Saturday night... after that its beer time for the winners and more free tourney quaking all Saturday night to early Sunday morning.

The internet playoffs are 17th dec - 6th Jan?

Internet playoffs should be played 3-5th of January 2008
But ofcourse, if you cant get people for that date, then you can play it between 17th->6th.

Div1 Semifinal/finals will however be played during Qhlan, so all div1 teams, be ready for the finals @ 3-5th of January 2008.
