Format and rules

The tournament has 8 teams with 5 players in each Teams. (With stand-in possibilities) The teams are drafted in by designated pickers.

Round robin system:

  • Each team plays one match against each other in a best-of-three in standard league play.
  • There is a final between the top two teams in league play where they play one bo5 to determin winner of tournament

It's the responsibility of the teams to do /f_ruleset checks and /f_modified checks. It's expected that everyone should play with correct ruleset and pass modified checks. Failure to not pass and not promptly fix this will result in WO.

Bo3 (Group Stage)

The procedure is "pick-pick-play-play-toss-toss-play". At 1-1 decider each team tosses one map out of the corresponding week/round's decider map pool.

Flow:

  • Start with doing a '/cmd rnd [team1 team2]' resulting in a winner team
  • winner team picks one map out of the total pool
  • other team picks one map
  • winner team map is played
  • other team map is played
  • if it is a deuce (1:1)
  • Do a second cmd rnd
    • winner team toss one map out of the decider maps of the given week
    • other team toss one map
    • decider map is played

The week/round decider maps pool as the following:

1. Phantoma, Dm3, qwq3dm7
2. E1m2, Cmt1b, Gmdm1
3. Obsidian, cmt3, Schloss
4. Anwalk2, Ctl8,E1m6tdm
5. Rocka,E3m3tdm, Cmt4
6. ukcldm2, Stronghold, Dm3
7. Moon,Dm2,Forsaken

Example:
You are in week/round 5 and Scores are 1-1 after both teams won a map. Both teams toss one from the pool of Rocka, E3m3tdm, Cmt4 - and plays the one remaining.
If both teams agree you can disregard the map rules related to the decider game and play any map that has ever been played in any league.
(Within reason (no aerowalk 4on4 sadly;)

Bo5 (Playoffs)

Each map in the final is to be unique, you cannot play a map more than once.

The short version of the finals structure: The only thing the teams have to do to determin maps for playoff: Is each team gives the admins a list of 6 maps a week in advance of the match: that will be ranked by their priority. The map pool will then be based on this priority list. Three decider maps will then be announced by admin.

Pre-game (week in advance): Goal of pregame talks is to Find 4 maps, + determin 3 decider maps.

The tournament announces the most played maps in the entire tournament – these are used to find the decider maps.

The two teams will be making a priority list of maps a week before the match. They pick and rank 6 maps as their prefered maps.

IF the two teams pick the same map in their priority list, then the tournament league leader's pick will overrank the second placed team's pick, and a lower ranked map from second place teams priority list will be selected.

After they have given their priority list; the 3 decider maps are announced by admins. The decider maps are based on most played maps in entire tournament; removing duplicats that might happen from the teams selection list.

In game: The teams will alternate playing their picked maps where tournament leader plays their map first.

At 2-2 score in match the teams will toss-toss-play from three predetermined decider maps; based on most played maps in tournament – and an unplayed map in the final. The three maps are given after the players selection is made a week in advance.

The long explanation: Coming/possibly not needed/this is long enough? ;)

Scheduling

There is a fixed schedule for teams to play in order once a week: You can schedule outside of the fixed schedule; play any team you want at any time: And the tournament can be flexible to delay a match now and then given notice of it. HOWEVER Failure to have played a fixed schedule (or asked to schedule outside deadline) game by each deadline (Sunday night) then requires your team (or team+ standin) to have 4 people on a server at 21:30 CET on the corresponding round #Sunday deadline.

The team with the most people ON A SERVER 21:30 CET each Sunday gets the walkover win. (Speculating in opposing player availability/("dodging matches") leads to harsh punishment for entire team.)

  • Teams should schedule matches on the Discord server in the #scheduling channel and tag the admins when a time and date has been found.
  • If a team is not making any efforts to schedule a match it will be taken into consideration when a WO has to be assigned.

Points

  • Points are awarded based on match wins, 1 point per match win.
  • If teams are equal in the table on match wins:

Then map difference + - (net maps) will separate the teams.

  • If teams are equal in the table on match wins: Then positions will be decided based upon maps won in their internal fight(s).
  • If still equal: The frag difference in those internal fights decide.
  • If that is also equal: Then the total frag difference of all games decide.

Stand-in

There is a stand-in player list. To sign-up as a standin is done on the fly. All standins have to be of equal or lesser skill than the player they are replacing. Admins determine if the player qualify as a standin. When a team requires a stand-in player; you have to make a request to the admins. If an admin is not avalible or you failed to ask for one much time in advance; and the oposing team does not want to reschedule: the wo is given to opposing team.

Ping

  • The primary driver for server selection is to find a server where the teams have similar average pings (+/- 2ms) and to minimize that average.
  • The pings should be the most even for the two teams and measures like cl_delay_packet or proxy rerouting to balance pings should be employed. A team with a higher average ping than their opponent on a given server may request the opponent to do this (or change server to somewhere with lower average ping).
  • Matches must be played on EU servers.
  • The highest minping that can be required is 52ms. This may occasionally mean matches played with uneven pings where one team has high pinging players, e.g. NA players on EU server.
  • This process applies for every map played. Where lineup changes are made between maps it may become necessary to switch servers or adjust pings at the request of either team to rebalance pings.
  • Servers that are providing significant packetloss that cannot be avoided by proxy rerouting should generally be avoided unless both teams agree to play there.
  • A player that reasonably needs to play on an anti-lag server, or with anti-lag setting turned on will have their request accepted and teams are expected to find proper anti-lag server.
  • If players still can't agree on a server, please contact admins about it. Admin decision is final and refusal to play on a server designated by neutral admins will be considered a WalkOver loss.
