Mom's Basement Duel 1

Mom's Basement Duel is a one day tournament on January 24th, 2026. This tournament will be a double elimination bracket. Please DM or ping Bance on discord in order to sign up.

Format
- Double-Elimination
- All matches are BO3, Grand Finals are BO5 (maps will be repeated for BO5 if needed).
- Seeding will be done by the almighty wisdom of Bance.

Rules
- Map order:
- All matches are Best of 3 (BO3). Grand Finals are Best of 5 (BO5).
Use /cmd rnd to decide who picks first.
Pick order: P1 → P2 → play last. (If BO5 losing player picks w/ repeats allowed after game 3)
“Losing player” means the one trailing in total maps (e.g., 0–2 or 1–2), or if tied (1–1 or 2–2), the one who lost the previous map.
- Scheduling: IMPORTANT! The tournament will begin at 4pm EST and run until completion through the course of the afternoon/evening. Please stay on standby between rounds and be responsive to pings for your matches during the duration of the tournament.
- Settings: Standard settings by typing "/1on1" | To add match tag type "/1on1 MB Duel"
- Pause rules: Each player is allowed one pause per match only for extraneous circumstances like large PL, once you have used a pause and use it again, you have forfeited the map.
- Ping rules: Find a server that keeps all players around the same ping, if no such server can be found, the lowest ping players will have to use cl_delay_packet to get closer to the higher ping players. If there's a dispute in what server should be used, contact admin on discord. For teams/players outside of NA you can request your best server but cannot expect opponents to ping up.
- Client: ezquake 3.6.x. or unezquake 1.3.x. For your own sake, update your client!
- Remember to check with f_version
- Reporting: ping Bance with hub screenshots and he'll update the bracket.
- cl_idrive is NOT allowed, turn off your hardware SOCD functions if you have them.
