AL.Kernell releases ezQuake-Notifier v1.2
Are you sometimes annoyed when tabbed out in windows that the ezQuake icon keeps flashing and you wonder if people are typing to you in-game or if they're just doing teamreports? AL.Kernell (username "wernerml" ) probably felt this annoyance and created a little tool which lets you:

1. Read what people on your server are saying while you're tabbed out in windows
2. Type in the console without even tabbing into ezQuake (!!!)
This is an interesting and very helpful little tool that AL.Kernell released and I believe it could be very appreciated by many.

now i'll have to improve the app a LOT more!

kidding! thanks for the publication! and many thanks also to the ezQuake developers, the REAL THING!
(I think nowadays it's just JohnNy_cz, no?)

I'm not sure what's the best way to use the app yet... like: opening/closing, how/when? (I already made an option to run ezQuake togheter with the app), I think now i could make "Auto close when ezQuake closes", so you would start to run only the app, instead of ezQuake..

but I don't know, i'm all years, if you have any better ideas!

(I also have the problem with the Chat Window not beeing able to "send text" to ezQuake if you didn't left the Console opened)
the second feature you mentioned:

I already made up a temporary solution, that will check if the text was really sent. If not, it will send a key-press that will open the Console (the Key will be configurable), and send one more time...
I'll make this on the weekend!

Nah it's not only JohnNy_cz, however almost everyone is really inactive.

A better approach would be to call a native API from inside the client and let the client handle everything instead of a third party app that modifies a log file.

bps, making the improvements right now! gonna release v1.3 soon, tonight maybe!

dimman, yeah I agree! JohnNy_cz said at the other thread: "This is definitely something that should be implemented in the client itself.", but my skills as a programmer are not good enough for C++, or whatever ezQuake is made of... I'm just good at AutoHotkey... =[
