EQL 7 - Week 4 Progress
Week 4 of the Summer Edition of the EQL is now well under way. In-active teams have been removed from the roster this week and we will soon be heading to the playoffs stage. Click for a short roundup.
So far we have seen good activity in Division 1 (4on4) with some good performances from Sega Gubber, Bear Beer Balalaika and of course
Slackers with a welcome return from ParadokS. Hopefully the next couple of weeks will see the league hot up with some more summer action.

All the other 4on4 divisions have seen plenty of activity with Division 3 being keenly contested with Quakeklan and Team Freedom topping the league at the moment. Oblivion top Division 2 with Mean Machine and Hippushnik in hot pursuit.

Div Sub Zero are well out in front in Div 4 but NaFianna.b have just been added to the Division so maybe they can topple the Russian lads. Finally in the rookie division with only 3 teams and just one game played mmm.. gibbz are on top having beaten Comfortably Numb earlier last week.

The inaugural EQL 2on2 league which is running alongside the 4on4 league has seen some good activity so far with a total of 16 games played across the 5 divisions. Still a way to go though.

Since we are now into Week 4 we urge all teams to make a big effort to get some games played this week in order to make the cutoff for the playoffs. The summer break is almost upon us now, so lets make one last effort to get games played before we put on the sunglasses and shorts and head for the beaches.

"Oblivion top Division 2 with Mean Machine and Hippushnik in hot pursuit."

Sorry mate, but that's an astonishingly poor summary of div2. You should have totally taken into account that NoPasaran, Dies Ater, and Mean Machine have only played 2 games so far, whereas Hippushnik can be happy if they even make it to the playoffs and Oblivion also already having played 4 games.

Ouch thats a bit harsh. Post was just a quick summary of the standings as they currently are in each Division and not an in depth analysis.

It's the problem of the teams if they don't adhere to the schedule. In every sport what you report about is the current state, not "what if maybe some lazy bastards wake up and blah blah". If you want be in the news, play the matches!
