O Clã is actually a traditional Brazilian clan and now has a north america division. Consisting mainly of Brazilians that reside in the United States, led by brazilian player Vegeta to whom this also applies.

History

"O Clã" has been made to be a top team to dispute of the championships. Its creators/founders: Doob, Mercury and FUX were always trying, with infrastructure and support, to treat with seriousness the scene itself and the players as well, since the team fundation in february 16, 2001.

The team tag, number "6", came from the idea to avoid the repetition that the other clans usually used to do in Brazil, using the inicials as a tag and english names; the clan name in Brazilian portuguese means "The Clan" and has no other secondary meaning. How everybody sees its inicials are the letters "O" and "C", using the imagination and we get that in the number six there is these two letters togheter.

Broadly, the franchise had great performances in other games as Quake 3 Arena (OSP and RA3, Counter Strike 1.6 (Brasilia division), Team Fortress 2 and Warsow, winning major championships.
