Quakeworld GetQuad! Draft will be played in divisions with 4-5 teams in each division. Divisions and teams are based on skill. It will be a round robin, with playoffs if teams are up for it. So in short we are looking at 4-6 games per team within a timeframe of 4-5 weeks. Normal or forced scheduling (for example sunday 21.00) are yet to be sorted out.

Games will be played on european servers. Best of 3 maps; first to win 2 maps wins. You get 1 point for a map win.

Division 1 20-30 players. Maps: dm2, dm3, e1m2.

Division 2 20-25 players. Maps: cmt2, cmt3, cmt4, dm2, dm3, e1m2, e3m3tdm, schloss.

Division 3 20-25 players. Maps: cmt2, cmt3, cmt4, dm2, dm3, e1m2, e3m3tdm, schloss.

Decider map in division 2-3 will be one of the TB3 maps; dm2, dm3, e1m2. With this format:

- If no TB3 map have been played then each team tosses 1 map each.

- If 1 TB3 map have been played, the team that did not choose the TB3 map chooses what TB3 map to be played as decider.

- If 2 TB3 maps has been played, the last one is played as decider (or 3 x same map).

What is a draft?

The word «draft» comes from the US pro sports (NHL, NBA, NFL, MLB) and means that each team gets to pick players, in turns. This system was made so that all teams got the chance to make «equal teams». The opposite of this is the typical european sports (especially soccer), where money very much decides the skill level of the teams.

What is new this time is that we also make a draft cup for division 2 and 3. Captains - preferably the best/even players - will be chosen for each team. The captains will then pick players after turns, until all players have been selected. The order in how you select players can be seen an example of here:
