Started in 2012, the Salvation Draft League was an initiative to promote more activity in the Quakeworld scene.
This league inaugurated the "captains picking players" model where top players in the scene take turns choosing from the pool of players who signed up until the teams are formed (5 members).

A fourth season was in the works in 2015, but never came to life. However, the format was eventually revived a few years later through the GetQuad! Draft series of events.

History

Salvation was the first European Quakeworld Draft tournament.

Season 1 of the Salvation Quakeworld Draft League started in march 2012. The season ended with a victory for Milton's Militia. There was a lot of positive feedback with one major exception. Many players who signed up didn't get to play due to limited slots in the 10 teams.
