I've used that CTF 8 or 7 years ago and not 3Wave CTF one so I was a bit surprised/disapointed when I saw the CTF implementation of KTX, so I tried to port my own version of it.

Here it how it looked like back in 1998:

Not launched / In air / Hooked

Here is how I ported it:

I modified a couple things regarding how it was handled in KTX and here is the list:
- Changed grapple sounds
- Suppressed grapple rope for visibility sake
- Added hook to WeaponCycle functions to be able to select it using next/previous weapon bindings
- Fixed incorrectly displayed grapple when being tracked
- Fixed hook movement when hooked on a wall (got rid of the weird shake)
- Fixed grapple direction
- Changed grapple and hook models

I'd love some feedback and if some want to test it like it is, feel free to go to:
ctf.quakeonline.net:27502 (remember to type 'CTF' once connected and use 'impulse 22' with binds for hook)

I use r_drawviewmodel 0 with hook anyways, but at first glimpse I don't like this one, sorry. Soft and sweet sound, but I really feel uncomfortable that there is no "rope". It just doesn't feel the same *whine whine*

Btw, It'd probably look really cool if the rope was in the style of trails... Vore and such (at least in GL, would probably look completely rediculous in software

Will it help if ezQuake gets to support TE_BEAM?

"I like it" if was possible to enable/disable it via console commands.
