Hi,

I just saw the qw move "GDE - Gz done extreme" (http://gamefiles.blueyonder.co.uk/blueyondergames/movies/quakeworld/gde.avi (318 MB)) and wonder where I can find the teleport texture they are using. You can see it good at 6:15. Does anyone know where I can get it? Sorry for not providing a screenshot, but you gotta see it in motion and (shame on me) I don't know how to screenshot a running movie...

Press printscreen and paste it into Paint is easiest.

for normal screenshots yes, but try that for a movie. just gives me a black square where the movie should be

looks like it could be one of RaRe's (i think) older textures. the client is using water alpha (eg. r_wateralpha 0.2)
could also be a custom teleporter shader, the credits show they used SurmoGL 1.51 i dont know if that client has that feature or not.

you might as well use Quake Retexture Project's teleport texture, it's not much dif, and with wateralpha like that it will pretty much look the same.

Isn't that wateralpha illegal?

As you can see through the portal (would be the same for water on dm3)?

Perhaps cheats were enabled on the server

Perhaps he changed the textures after he recorded the demo so that it would look good on movie xus

It is illegal but when speccing/watching demos it will work
